Installing and Activating the Altorra PowerClick Toolkit

Initial Installation
Please follow these instructions to install the PowerClick Toolkit onto your set of instances.
Step 1: Access Retrieved Update Sets
Log in to the lowest instance in your ServiceNow instance hierarchy as an administrator.
Navigate to Retrieved Update Sets .
Step 2: Import the PowerClick XML File
In the "Retrieved Update Sets" list, locate and click the related link "Import Update Set from XML" at the bottom.
Click Choose File, select the PowerClick Toolkit XML file, provided by Altorra, and click Upload.
Step 3: Preview the Update Set
Click on the PowerClick Toolkit in the list of Update Sets.
Click the Preview Update Set button to check for conflicts or errors.
Step 4: Commit the Update Set
Once the preview is complete and conflicts (if any) are resolved, click Commit Update Set.
ServiceNow will apply the changes from the XML file to your instance and the PowerClick Toolkit will be installed.
Step 5: Propagate to Production Instance
Follow your organization's process to propagate the update set from your lowest instance up through to your highest (production) instance.
It is recommended to install the PowerClick Toolkit in all instances, including Production. This will allow you both leverage applicable tools in production, as well as facilitating clones.
Activating PowerClick Toolkit
Note: Have the license key provided by Altorra Customer Service ready for this step. If you are unable to locate it, please reach out to support@altorra.com for assistance.
Note: If you are using a demo license, you will need to replace the license key with the new one provided by Altorra Customer Service.
Step 1: Activate product on instance
Log in to the lowest instance in your ServiceNow instance hierarchy as an administrator.
Navigate to the Altorra PowerShield Toolkit - Administration - Configuration menu.

Enter the license key provided by Altorra Customer Support, into the appropriate field and click Save. Note that you must be in the Altorra PowerClick Toolkit application scope in order to be able to save changes. A link to quickly switch to this scope is provided at the top of the page.

Step 2: Repeat on each instance
For each instance in your hierarchy, repeat Step 1 to activate the PowerClick Toolkit.
You can use the same license key for each instance under the same ServiceNow Company ID.
Upgrading PowerClick Toolkit
Obtain the Updated XML File: Obtain the PowerClick Toolkit XML file for the updated version of the application from Altorra Customer Support.
Note: You will be notified when new updates become available via email.
Follow Initial Installation Steps 1 -5: Follow the same steps as for the initial installation.
You will NOT be required to re-enter the license key when upgrading
Renewing PowerClick Toolkit License
Your PowerClick Toolkit license will need to be updated at your renewal.
Please follow Steps 1-2 of the Activating PowerClick Toolkit section.
