User Guide

The GlideRecord Script - Preview adds a Context Menu and UI Action into ServiceNow that help users generate GlideRecord script templates for scripting tasks. They work on both List Views and Forms to preview scripts in a pop up window.

How to Use the GlideRecord Script Tools:

1. Navigate to a List View, or Form view of a record.

   • 
     

     • Right-click the List View header/form header or click the hamburger menu.

     • Select GlideRecord Script - Preview (ASI) 

       

       

     • A pop-up window opens, with a script template based on the list’s filter

       

   • Copy and Modify: If needed, you can copy the generated script to the PC's clipboard.
