User Guide

The GlideRecord Script - Background Script adds a Context Menu and UI Action into ServiceNow that help users generate GlideRecord script templates for scripting tasks. They work on both List Views and Forms to preview scripts in a pop up window.

How to Use the GlideRecord Script - Background Scripts:

1. Navigate to a List View, or Form view of a record.

• Right-click the List View header/form header or click the hamburger menu.

• Select GlideRecord Script - Preview (ASI) 

  

  

• The Background Script page opens in a new tab and auto-populates the script text box with the template. Note: There might be a slight delay for it to fully populate.
