User Guide
The Create a Module from this Query Tool is a UI Context Menu action in ServiceNow that allows users with the "admin" role to create a Module directly from a filtered List View. It captures the table, view, and filter conditions, creating a Module that you can further configure.
How to Use the Create a Module from this Query Tool:
Navigate to a List View: Go to any list of records in ServiceNow
Apply Filters (Optional): Use the filter conditions to narrow down the records to your desired set
Access the UI Context Menu:
Right-click on the List View header or click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) to open the context menu.
Select Create a Module from this Query (ASI)

Confirm Creation: A dialog will appear asking, "Are you sure you want to create a new Module?" Click "OK" to proceed.

Configure the Module:
You’ll be redirected to the newly created Module record.
The "Link type" will be set to "List of Records," with the "Table," "View name," and "Filter" fields pre-populated based on your List View query.
Complete the remaining fields such as "Title," "Application menu," "Order," and any additional settings.

Save and Use: Save the Module to make it available in the specified application menu, providing quick access to the filtered record set.
Technical Details:
The tool captures the table, view, and filter conditions from the List View and applies them to the new Module.
It ensures the "Filter" field is correctly populated, even with multiple conditions, by creating the record first (a workaround for a known limitation in defaulting filter conditions).
This tool is ideal for ServiceNow admins who occasionally need to create Modules for specific record queries!
