This tool can be found in our PowerClick Essentials , available FREE to the ServiceNow Community.   This tool gives users the ability to quickly see the changes to a Catalog item, in a separate browser window, keeping it within the regular user interface (NOT a Portal). ServiceNow provides an Out-of-Box Try it UI Action, but with less restrictive conditions (must be active and user must have "catalog_admin" Role) and will render the item in the current page.
